Director - Performer - Designer - Youth Leader


Mat Carroll worked at Bill Brookman Productions Ltd
from 2004 - 2008 initially as Stage Manager & Administrator then as General & Artistic Manager during 2006 - 2008 while Bill Brookman worked exclusively in Haiti.

Mat also trades as Genii Designs,.creating costume,
set & properties
Mat also works as a designer and youth leader for
Arts in Education – Leicestershire County Council.
Mat is Director of The 101 Performing Arts Group
and an Arts Award  Adviser  for the young people’s Arts Award.

Mat has over 15 years experience working on a variety of performance, design and community projects. Most recently he has toured the UK with Bill Brookman Productions as director, performer, MC
stage manager, artist and workshop leader.

Mat has undertaken projects as a designer, prop, set and costume maker, as a youth and youth theatre leader, stage manager, performer & puppeteer.

Projects include
Devising and performing the mass juggling workshop and fire show for the
World Scout Jamboree 2007 at Chelmsford
Devising and performing the Toon Heroes Academy for Chessington World of Adventures, 2005,
Designer for 2 productions at the Millennium Dome, 2000
and projects at the Haymarket Theatre, Leicester, De Montfort Hall, Leicester
and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Theatre in Education Tours for Youth Arts – Leicestershire
and Leicestershire County Council Drama and Dance Centre

Skills include
Poi/circus performing including stilt walking, fire breathing, fire poi & spinning, human statue,
puppetry, script & lyric writing,
Workshop devising including: drama, theatre skills, circus skills,
art & craft, design – set, props & costume, stage combat, slapstick

Mat graduated from Dartington College of Arts, Devon
with BA Hons in Theatre and Arts Management
